About the Role

This position is responsible for developing and communicating 24-month Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) packs each month. The goal is to ensure alignment with available resources, customer service, sales demand, and company strategic initiatives for both short-term (13-week) and long-term (24-month) horizons.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in planning and scheduling systems, understanding their limitations, configuration, and capabilities while providing training and support to the department. This role involves maintaining the day-to-day operation of these systems, ensuring they are utilized to best suit business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Operations Planning: Develop monthly S&OP pack plans using mixed-integer data models, including pre-planning and post-planning review meetings, which will form the basis of crop sanctioning, annual budgeting, and Long-Range Planning processes.
  • Analytical Quantitative Support: Perform data mining assignments to develop tools supporting S&OP and Supply Chain initiatives, such as sensitivity and scenario analysis, utilizing software to compare changes to the production landscape. Improve current decision processes and reporting tools to achieve efficiency through integration across all PPIC Departments.
  • Collaboration and Continuity: Work with JRS IT groups to identify, develop, and deploy new tools and techniques to leverage existing software effectively, improving decision-making. Build continuity between the modeling database and data warehouse to provide solutions for ongoing analysis in Supply Plan, Standard Costing, and financial analysis areas.
  • Maintenance and Resolution: Understand the software and maintain it to derive the optimal pack plan and schedule, meeting potentially changing business needs. Assist in resolving plan infeasible solutions with PPIC Staff and provide feedback through the S&OP process on manufacturing limitations and opportunities.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to assist the finite scheduling group with generating Master Production Schedules. Maintain integrity between the monthly and finite scheduling arenas, ensuring all rules and production metrics are updated on a timely basis to implement the long-range plan accordingly.
