Penn Medicine is currently seeking a full-time, day shift, unit-based Clinical Pharmacist specializing in both oncology and non-oncology infusion services for our healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepares and dispenses medications utilizing appropriate techniques to optimize drug therapy outcomes while adhering to health system policies and procedures.
- Provides timely and relevant responses to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and patients.
- Ensures seamless pharmaceutical care across acute and outpatient settings.
- Engages in the systematic process of assessing, managing, and reporting adverse drug events (ADEs).
- Contributes to the management of medical emergencies.
- Takes responsibility for compliance with medication-use policies and guidelines.
- Effectively manages time to meet practice responsibilities.
- Adheres to all accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety standards relevant to the practice environment.
- Current pharmacist license in Pennsylvania (mandatory).
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy (mandatory).
- Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency (preferred).
- Prior hospital experience (preferred).
- Experience in infusion and sterile compounding (preferred).
