About the Role
CPI Electron Device Business is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Director to lead our IT and telecommunications efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee IT operations and supervise systems and IT staff, including providing guidance, direction, training, and development.
- Develop strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure, including computer and information systems, security, and communication systems.
- Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology to drive bottom-line value to the business.
- Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance.
- Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems.
- Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Develop the IT budget in line with corporate goals and cost constraints; identify and deliver return on investment (ROI) for capital expenditures; benchmark IT total cost of ownership (TCO) to industry and maintain a competitive standing relative to peers.
- Ensure data security, network access, and backup systems and maintain company hardware and software programs.
- Responsible for IT system security across all sites, including secure access to systems and data for employees and third parties; prevention of intrusions, cyber-attacks, and data loss, periodic audit of security and systems to ensure functioning as intended, including annual testing of incident response protocols.
- Develop and implement protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of an emergency or data loss.
- Facilitate IT security audits or investigations.
- Play a key role and be a technical sponsor of ERP implementation across acquisitions as they are integrated.
- Proven experience developing highly functional teams with multiple locations.
- Direct, plan, supervise, review, and evaluate the activities of the information technology staff, including daily operations of the department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Perform server deployments and migration.
Requirements
- A local commute, no relocation available, and no hybrid or remote. The position is 100% onsite.
- Ability to operate well independently, provide strategic leadership, and have excellent technical aptitude as well as superior project and people management skills to ensure smooth, secure, and consistently updated technical operations within the organization.
- Advanced knowledge with Active Directory and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, as well as deploying and upgrading Windows operating system.
- Experience with Microsoft Product Suite, Office, G-Suite, and/or Office 365 Azure AD Connect.
- Experience with configuring and deploying VMware, ESXI 6.5/6.7/7.0.
- Advanced knowledge of firewalls, wireless access points, and cybersecurity software.
- Ability to troubleshoot advanced networking and server issues.
- High energy, strong interpersonal skills, able to manage stressful situations with a positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and driving large information technology projects to from inception to completion.
- Extensive hands-on experience with computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
- U.S. Citizenship and are able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
