Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced School Nurse to provide high-quality care to a medically fragile patient in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement the physician's prescribed plan of care for the patient
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care with the healthcare team
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the physician
  • Document care provided in the system of record in a timely and compliant manner
  • Provide health education and training to family members and caregivers
  • Assist patients with travel to and from school
Requirements:
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • At least six months of prior hands-on nursing experience
  • Reliable transportation
