Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Tresco, Inc. as an Early Childhood Specialist.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to children with developmental delays or disabilities, focusing on early childhood development and intervention.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 55% of billable time through face-to-face interactions, home visits, team consultations, community consultations, evaluations, assessments, and IFSP meetings.
- Contribute to the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that cater to the unique needs of each child.
- Determine suitable assessment tools and conduct neuromotor/sensorimotor evaluations for children with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Perform comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluations of infants, including social histories and developmental assessments.
- Interpret testing information and communicate effectively with parents to ensure their understanding of their child's progress.
- Develop short-term intervention plans for parents to implement at home, providing training and support as needed.
- Participate in outreach training, delivering therapy information and in-services to local and rural communities.
- Provide training for staff, families, and other assigned professionals.
- Offer direct therapy services to children who require it.
- Serve on the Tresco Outreach and Training Services Evaluation Team.
- Promote prevention strategies to minimize the impact of initial or future impairment, delay in development, or loss of functional ability.
- Deliver center-based and home-based services.
- Cultivate professional growth by staying up-to-date with new techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate with team members to share ideas and facilitate program development.
- Agree to fulfill performance responsibilities in designated locations, with state-wide travel required.
- Assist in organizing program activities and child find opportunities.
- Engage in reflective supervision at least once a month.
Additional Duties
Ongoing job-related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Bilingual skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
Education and Certification
A degree in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American National Therapy Association is required. Three years of experience working with children with disabilities or those at risk is also necessary.
Licenses and Certifications
Current certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association is essential.
Salary and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $28.00-$36.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule
A standard work schedule of 8:00am-5:00pm applies.
