Why this Role Matters

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe and effective management of radiation-related activities at Vistra Nuclear Operations Company.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of radiation protection principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

You will be working in a dynamic and supportive team environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality results and the achievement of our organizational goals.

Deliverables and Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop and maintain Radiation Protection Department and Safety Services procedures.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the Station's Radioactive Waste Management; ALARA; Radioactive Material Control; Dosimetry; Respiratory Protection and Effluent & Radiological Environmental Programs.
  • Represent Radiation Protection on the Chemical Overview Group (COG).
  • Act as Contract Coordinator for various Radiation Protection Contracts.
  • Support Outage planning in the development and execution of radiological support plans.
  • Assist in the development and oversight of Radiation Protection training for Technicians and Radiation Workers.
