Job Description

The Special Education Teacher position is an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students.

As a Special Education Teacher at Capital Preparatory Schools, you will have the opportunity to work with students who require specialized instruction and support. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.

In this role, you will also be expected to collaborate with other teachers and specialists to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and services. You will work closely with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and involve them in the decision-making process.

You will be responsible for teaching students in grades K-12, providing instruction in subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. You will also be expected to assess student progress regularly and adjust your instruction accordingly.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. You will be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

A bachelor's degree in special education or a related field is required, as well as valid certification in special education. Three years of teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
