Position Overview

We're seeking a Machine Learning Expert for Clean Energy to join our team at Gridmatic. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to the development of innovative machine learning solutions for the energy sector.


Responsibilities

This role involves applied research, focusing on the application of machine learning techniques to energy markets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and generalizing problem frameworks across electricity markets.
  • Designing experiments for new ML techniques and consulting on those tasks for other team members.
  • Mentoring team members on modeling and result communication.
  • Applying cutting-edge ML techniques to problems in the energy space.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in ML research, with a strong publication record in top conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML) or relevant fields (CV/NLP/Speech).
  • A PhD in ML, statistics, or a related quantitative modeling field.
  • Expertise in math, probability, statistics, and algorithms, with proven experience in researching and implementing relevant machine learning models.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow) and libraries (scikit-learn).

Compensation

$190,000 - $253,000 per year, along with a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth and professional development. Our hybrid work policy allows for 50% in-office work, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
