Job Summary

Maplewood Manor is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Assisted Living Director/LPN to lead the coordination of housing and assisted living services for our community.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Supervisor/RN to ensure resident care plans are implemented and followed.
  • Work closely with HHA staff to provide high-quality care and support to residents.
  • Champion resident rights and promote a culture of compliance.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new residents and promote our community.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our activity program and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in resident and family council committees to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Work with the ALD to coordinate resident care, including personal, medical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Ensure staff follow resident care plans and provide ongoing support and training.
  • Conduct regular audits and surveys to ensure high-quality care and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with the ALD to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our staff training and development programs.
  • Work with the ALD to ensure facility policies and procedures are current and followed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our budget and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in the control of cost-effective services, including proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure residents have an approved payer source and monitor late payments/missed payments.
  • Work with the ALD and Maintenance to ensure cleanliness, repairs, and replacement of fixtures and equipment are addressed timely.
  • Develop and participate in disaster plans for the community and conduct regular drills and training.
  • Ensure storage areas are kept neat and organized to promote a safe environment.
  • As directed, follow the interview, hiring, and onboarding process for new employees.
  • Work with the ALD to provide ongoing in-service training for employees.
  • Work with the ALD to ensure annual in-service training for employees is in compliance with company and state regulations.
  • Monitor day-to-day performance of staff and respond appropriately to both strengths and opportunity outcomes.

Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a LPN in the state of Minnesota.
  • Experience in long-term care favored, but not required.
  • Preference given to experience in managing staff, administration, or the practice of assisted living services in the residential setting.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision, strong communication skills, and ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks.
  • Must meet and maintain requirements of a Home Health Aide.
  • Meet the physical job demands of the position.
