Job Title: Home Visitor

At Southern Illinois University, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Visitor to join our team. As a Home Visitor, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to children and families participating in our Home Based program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans to address the social, intellectual, emotional, and physical needs of children.
  • Conduct family-style dining instructions and implement the approved curriculum.
  • Manage child behavior, model instructional techniques for parents, and customize child instruction.
  • Carry out screenings and assessments, maintain accurate records, and conduct weekly home visits.
  • Collect and manage child outcome data to inform program development and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Tier 1: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Tier 2: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, and at least two years of experience teaching infants/toddlers and/or preschool-aged children, or currently enrolled in a qualifying degree-seeking program.
