We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatrician to join our team at the University of Utah. As an Academic Pediatrician with a focus on newborn care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, educating future healthcare providers, and contributing to research and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to newborns and their families in our Well Baby and Intermediate Care Nurseries
- Participate in scholarly activities, including educating future healthcare providers, developing newborn care processes, and conducting quality improvement research
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive team-based care
- Take on leadership roles in quality improvement and research initiatives
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Pediatrics
- Proficient in performing circumcisions and precepting these procedures with learners
- Ability to work some evenings and weekend shifts
- Experience in teaching and quality improvement projects preferred
