We are seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist to join our pathology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cytotechnology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Receives and accessioning cytology specimens into the laboratory information system (LIS)
  • Trains and evaluates employees working in the cytology section of the pathology lab
  • Prepares biological specimens for microscopic examination and/or molecular testing

The selected candidate will be responsible for classifying cellular material according to established classifications and nomenclature, distinguishing atypical cellular material for pathologist review, and reviewing patient clinical history to relate it to microscopic observations in gynecologic samples being screened.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Cytotechnology
  • ASCP certification in Cytotechnology or equivalent required
  • Specialist in Cytotechnology preferred
