We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
- Monitor and record patient condition, including vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data, and communicate with the healthcare team as needed.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, including arranging for necessary services and equipment.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
