Job Description

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our perioperative department. As an Orthopedic Surgical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care before, during, and after surgery.

  • Ensure safe patient care within the peri-op unit by maintaining a safe environment, proper patient identification, time outs, resources, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including scrub nurses, physicians, and support services, to maintain a sterile field and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Promote growth and development among colleagues through precepting, mentoring, and orientation programs, fostering a positive clinical role model.
