Job Title: Payment Solutions Manager

One Detroit Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Payment Solutions Manager to join our team. As a key member of our collections department, you will be responsible for supervising the collections team and ensuring that all collection activities are conducted in compliance with state and federal laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the collections team and ensure that all collection activities are conducted in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Monitor methods of contact regarding delinquent accounts to ensure that the entire process operates in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Locate and notify members of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone, or in-person to solicit payment.
  • Receive payment and post amounts to member accounts.
  • Prepare letters if member fails to respond.
  • Initiate repossession proceedings or revocation of service.
  • Keep records of collection and status of accounts.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
  • One to three years of experience in a collections capacity.
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Previous collections experience at a financial institution.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Hours worked may exceed 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.
