Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure accurate financial statements.
  • Prepare and report all monthly financial data in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the maintenance of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, payroll entries, accounts payable, and necessary adjustments.
  • Process complex journal entries related to payroll, accrued expenses, and depreciation in a timely manner.
  • Conduct bi-weekly payroll processing and analysis using ADP software.
  • Supervise the accounts payable process, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices, issuing checks, and addressing vendor inquiries.
  • Handle treasury functions such as wire transfers, direct payments, and daily bank transaction verifications.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial management policies and procedures.
  • Manage 401K and HSA reporting and reconciliation tasks.
  • Provide necessary information for audits and assist auditors as required.
  • Support the Controller with special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
