Dermatology Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced RN or LPN to join our Dermatology team at Heritage Medical Associates. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and service-oriented skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Scribe during physician examination
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Assist during surgical procedures
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
• Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

• Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of TN with at least 1-year experience in a preferably in a clinic or physician office setting
• Experience using electronic medical/health records
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing RN or LPN program

• Valid unrestricted state of TN RN or LPN license
• Current state license to practice as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
• Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (CPR) and Advance Cardiac Life Support Certification Required for some specialties

The ability to stand/walk up to eight hours/day; stoop, bend, twist. Assist patients in turning and arising from the exam table. Push wheelchair patients and assist a patient in arising from and returning to a wheelchair. Requires the ability to stand, sit, bend, reach overhead and carry 80 pounds, if necessary
