Job Title: Part-Time Dentist

SVT Health & Wellness is seeking a skilled Part-Time Dentist to join our team in Homer and Seldovia. As a Part-Time Dentist, you will provide direct primary oral health and preventative oral health care to our patient partners in an ambulatory dental clinic within a Community Health Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality, cost-effective dental care to patients within scope of training, capabilities, and licensing
  • Diagnose oral conditions, evaluate oral health, Interpret x-rays and other diagnostic tests
  • Continue plans and provide treatment
  • Maintain and update dental charts and records in a timely fashion established by SVTHW policy and procedure
  • Maintain current Alaska licensing as a Dentist and unrestricted DEA licensing
  • Actively promote Seldovia Village Tribe's services and programs
Requirements:
  • DDS or DMD degree from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the ADA
  • 1-3 years of experience practicing dentistry
  • Knowledge and experience working with underserved populations preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric patients strongly preferred
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel to Seldovia 1-2 times per month, subject to inclement weather
Employment Requirements:
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must successfully complete credentialing and privileging
  • Must undergo FBI fingerprinting
