Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Direct the nursing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, manage staff, and oversee the development of departmental goals and objectives.
- Staff Development: Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and continuing education initiatives.
- Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Budget Management: Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure that the nursing department operates within allocated funds.
- Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate and direct internal and externally-driven audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Licensure and Certification: Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
- Work Experience: 5 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- Emergency Department Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED experience.
- Leadership Experience: Emergency Room experience with an emphasis in Behavioral Health preferred.
