Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our team at Smith's Food and Drug. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting with sales and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and resolving customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures, and reporting any hazards or concerns to management.
  • Assist with sales and inventory management by accurately receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining accurate records of sales and inventory levels.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions to effectively communicate with customers and make recommendations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
