Area Speech Language Pathologist

Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality speech therapy services across multiple Spectrum School locations within an assigned region. This includes evaluating students, planning and implementing individualized therapy programs, monitoring progress, and collaborating with educational teams to enhance students' communication skills and overall development.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field of study, hold a state speech language pathology (SLP) license, and possess prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism-related disabilities and emotional disturbance.
Responsibilities- Evaluate students within designated programs to determine speech therapy needs and appropriate levels of service.
- Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans based on assessments, student needs, and treatment goals.
- Set personalized goals in collaboration with parents, educators, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Regularly monitor and assess student progress towards therapy goals and update treatment plans as necessary to meet the developmental and individual needs of each student.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, employing evidence-based strategies and techniques to improve speech, communication skills, language comprehension, and cognitive abilities.
- Document therapy sessions and progress notes accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with Spectrum policies and state regulations.
- Maintain detailed case records according to Spectrum policy and state regulations, ensuring all authorized documentation, including billing, is completed accurately within 24 hours of service delivery.
- Foster effective communication with families regarding session scheduling, make-up sessions, and progress updates.
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field of study.
- Hold a state speech language pathology (SLP) license.
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism-related disabilities and emotional disturbance.
- Valid state driver's license for travel between locations.
The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
