Position Overview

As a vital member of the Sehealth team, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their billing inquiries and payment transactions. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients regarding their billing inquiries, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Process financial assistance applications and maintain accurate logs.
  • Conduct follow-up calls on account statuses as necessary.
  • Establish and manage payment plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Handle incoming calls, directing them appropriately to ensure efficient communication.
  • Facilitate patient payments both in-person and via telephone.
  • Manage account statuses, including transitions between billing and bad debt categories.
  • Effectively manage self-pay accounts and handle sensitive cases with care.
  • Prepare legal accounts in accordance with established protocols.
  • Process credits and refunds for self-pay accounts accurately.
  • Act as a liaison between self-pay and bad debt vendors to streamline processes.
  • Assist with employee payroll deductions as required.
  • Contribute to a positive patient experience by making a strong first impression.
  • Support the training of new team members to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Preferred two years of experience in a healthcare or business office setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proficient in researching and analyzing data to resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
