Job Overview

The Mailroom Coordinator is responsible for the efficient reception, organization, and distribution of correspondence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, categorize, and distribute incoming correspondence, including funding requests and related materials, by department or individual.
  • Maintain a log of all incoming packages and ensure timely delivery to the intended recipients.
  • Utilize fax and scanning technology to digitize funding requests and related documents for appropriate record-keeping.
  • Ensure the precise and prompt processing of scanned documents.
  • Accurately document conditions accompanying funding requests.
  • Organize and sustain both physical and digital filing systems for efficient document retrieval.
  • Uphold confidentiality and security of sensitive information at all times.
  • Weigh outgoing mail to determine the appropriate postage.
  • Serve as a backup receptionist, which includes greeting visitors, managing phone calls, receiving mail and deliveries, and maintaining the reception area.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

High School Diploma is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a mailroom setting is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a mailroom environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $36,000 and $40,000, reflecting geographical labor market differences. The final salary will be influenced by the candidate's location, skills, education, and experience.
