Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team at Mountaire. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine refrigeration preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as receiving on-the-job training for the operation, maintenance, and controls of plant refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine refrigeration preventative maintenance and repair tasks
  • Complete work orders as assigned by management
  • Set up, tear down, and adjust equipment as needed
  • Respond to breakdowns, assess the issue, and coordinate resources to address the problem
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, and report any unsafe acts or conditions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or technical degree
  • 12 years of related experience in HVAC or a trade
  • RETA I Certification within 6 months of hire
  • HazMat training and mechanical aptitude
