Kern Community College District is seeking qualified part-time adjunct instructors to join our Student Success team. As an adjunct instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to the success of our institution.
Responsibilities- Teach part-time courses in Student Success, utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies to engage students and promote learning.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the college's goals and objectives.
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities.
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Masters degree in education or the equivalent.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Possession of a master's degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family, and child counseling, or the equivalent.
- Knowledge of computers and willingness to explore new technologies that benefit the program.
- Ability to provide instruction in a dual enrollment format.
- Ability to teach face-to-face and/or online courses.
