Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

At Management and Training Corporation, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, KY.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated professional to provide support, guidance, and hope to individuals struggling with substance abuse. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective trainee employee assistance program (TEAP) to promote awareness, prevention, and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement TEAP components to integrate with other center programs and policies.
  • Work with new students to assess and develop assistance plans during the 45-day probation period.
  • Provide assessment and assistance/intervention plans for students who test positive for drugs or alcohol.
  • Conduct TEAP classes, group education, and prevention sessions for students and staff.
  • Provide input to counseling, health/wellness, and human resources departments for referrals and support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, behavioral science, or a related field.
  • Certification for drug and alcohol counseling.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
