Electrical Engineer - Robotics

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Robotics and Digital Solutions team at Johnson & Johnson. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for robotic platforms, including power electronics, control systems, and sensors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Participate in design reviews, fault safety analysis, and design FMEA analysis to ensure electrical systems meet quality and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the development of electrical engineering best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 17 years of experience or Master's degree with 14 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing electrical systems for robotic platforms, including power electronics, control systems, and sensors.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electronics, and electromagnetism.
  • Experience with CAD tools, such as Altium Designer, and simulation software, such as SPICE.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the medical device industry, with knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as IEC 60601-1 and ISO 13485.
  • Knowledge of robotic systems, including kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.
  • Experience with programming languages, such as C++ or Python.

We offer a competitive salary range of $166,000 - $267,145, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
