Breast Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Breast Imaging Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Wailuku, Hawaii.

As a Breast Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mammography services to our patients. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care.

• Perform mammography examinations with precision and accuracy, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of department equipment and perform quality control checks as required.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure timely and accurate image interpretation, and communicate effectively with patients regarding their results.
• Assist with patient positioning, compression, and immobilization, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the examination process.
• Document all patient interactions, exams performed, and any notable findings or concerns.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A minimum one (1) year general radiology experience as a registered technologist, including experience or successful completion of training program (pre-hire, post-hire, or on-the-job) in area of specialty, if applicable.
• A minimum one (1) year mammography experience.
• An Associates degree in radiologic technology or two (2) years experience in a directly related area.
• Radiographer License (Hawaii) required at hire.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Mammography Technologist.

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
