About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. This per diem position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a talented team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Champion Precision: Skillfully maneuver advanced cameras to unravel the mysteries of radioactive drugs within the body, producing images that empower medical experts to make accurate diagnoses.
  • Craft Connection: Infuse your compassionate touch as you meticulously position patients, choosing the perfect blend of anatomy and technique, all while ensuring their comfort.
  • Radiate Safety: Become the guardian of radiation safety, rigorously following protocols and guidelines to create an environment where safety is the heartbeat of every procedure.
  • Empower Confidence: Your hawk-eyed attention will confirm the accuracy of ordered exams, leaving no room for doubt as you match them with physician orders.
  • Safeguard Identity: Through a dual-verification ritual, you'll ensure the right patient receives the right care, infusing trust into every step of the journey.
  • Illuminate Consent: Secure patient consent with a warm demeanor, respecting their rights while maintaining confidentiality like an unbreakable seal.
  • Document Care: Be the voice of patient education, meticulously documenting it on requisitions, and etching the story of each patient's journey through their clinical history.
Requirements
  • Certified Expertise: Hold the crown of a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB or ARRT-N, endorsed by AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE) - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Heartbeat of Life: Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Educational Mosaic: Lay the foundation with graduation from an accredited nuclear medicine program. A touch of an associate degree in health sciences or a related field is our preferred brushstroke.
