Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Estimator for Healthcare Projects to join our team at Elite Recruiting & Consulting Services. As a key member of our construction estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for healthcare projects. This role involves detailed cost analysis, bid preparation, and collaboration with project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare construction projects, proven accounting expertise, and proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required. 8+ years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in hospital/healthcare projects, is preferred. Strong understanding of construction project financials, accounting principles, and cost control is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and risk assessments to ensure project feasibility and profitability.
  • Manage pre-construction activities, including bid proposals, timelines, and subcontractor negotiations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop comprehensive project plans and budgets.
  • Utilize accounting principles to manage project financial data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Review subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Identify and address cost discrepancies, providing solutions to mitigate project risks.
