Facility Overview:
Kettering Health Troy is a modern, three-story hospital spanning nearly 150,000 square feet, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offering a variety of outpatient services. The facility is recognized as a Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department by the American College of Emergency Physicians since 2020. Our services encompass:

  • Cardiac testing
  • Emergency and intensive care
  • Laboratory and imaging services
  • Surgical procedures
  • A medical office building for physician practices
  • A 28-bed capacity

Key Responsibilities:
The Environmental Services Associate II role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Adhering to verbal and written safety protocols
  • Executing essential cleaning tasks for assigned areas
  • Documenting daily responsibilities
  • Exhibiting flexibility in response to scheduling changes or staffing shortages
  • Utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly in all job functions
  • Reporting equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel
  • Interacting with staff and patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Maintaining accurate records and organizing equipment
  • Handling regular and hazardous waste, as well as operating waste processing machinery
  • Cleaning sterile environments, including operating rooms and MRI areas
  • Delivering supplies to designated locations
  • Operating laundry equipment and changing curtains
  • Performing various utility tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a service-related field
  • Experience in floor care
  • The ability to lift, push, or pull weights ranging from 10 to 25 pounds on a daily basis
  • A strong commitment to customer service for both staff and patients
  • Familiarity with electronic devices such as computers and tablets
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English instructions
  • The capability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
