Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Facility Technician to manage essential building upkeep tasks. This role involves performing maintenance activities across various disciplines, including carpentry, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly role, reporting directly to the Facilities Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will handle plumbing, electrical, access control, and HVAC maintenance, along with any additional responsibilities assigned by the Facilities Supervisor. We seek a proactive professional who can foresee potential issues and address them effectively. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with clients.

  • Assess, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems within the facility.
  • Coordinate with facilities management for any tasks requiring external expertise.
  • Respond to and address reports of mechanical or maintenance concerns on-site.
  • Utilize necessary tools and supplies to complete tasks or projects efficiently.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with instruments and tools pertinent to job functions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Physical capability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs., and work on ladders.
