Petco Veterinary Hospital Job Description
At Petco, we're committed to providing exceptional care for pets and their owners. As a Veterinarian at our hospital, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical services and creating a welcoming environment for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert medical care to pets, including physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, taking into account their individual needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate with our veterinary team to ensure seamless care and communication with clients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and best practices in veterinary care.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
- Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located.
- Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
- USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
