We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Abdominal Solid Organ Transplant Unit at UVA Health. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients recovering from abdominal surgeries, including kidney, pancreas, and liver transplants.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal care needs to promote optimal recovery during hospitalization.
- Perform basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN and in accordance with policy and procedure to promote patient health and wellness.
- Provide a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
- Support administrative functions to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain necessary skills and competencies to provide high-quality care.
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- No experience required, but relevant experience is preferred.
- Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
The role requires frequent bending, stooping, and driving. You must be able to lift, push, and pull 20-50lbs and over 100lbs. You may be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
