Role Overview

The Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering operational and administrative assistance to the Operations and Transportation Departments. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth execution of daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide support for scheduling, manifest creation, and client requests.
  2. Manage order creation, bills of lading, and manifest generation for shipments.
  3. Respond to print support and scheduling requests from clients and team members.
  4. Prepare and track purchase orders, ensuring invoice accuracy before payment processing.
  5. Communicate updates and address inquiries promptly.
  6. Assist with warehouse requests for labels and documentation.
  7. Engage in special projects to support ongoing operational activities.
  8. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and team members for effective scheduling.
  9. Ensure the accuracy of all orders in internal systems and maintain Excel reports.
  10. Draft correspondence and internal memos as necessary.
  11. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience in administrative support within warehouse or manufacturing settings, or an Associate's degree in business or accounting.
  • Proficiency in data entry and manipulation using Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in transportation or logistics sectors.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
