Collaboration:
You will work alongside diverse multi-functional teams throughout the software application lifecycle. Our QA Specialists are responsible for testing code through both manual and automated methodologies.

Your Role:
You are a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to quality assurance.

Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the QA initiatives for our security backend operations, ensuring software quality, timely delivery, and ongoing maintenance throughout the product lifecycle.

Effective project delivery will require adherence to established processes, particularly within the Agile framework.


Your approach will encompass a system-level perspective to validate end-to-end solutions, ensuring all products within this offering operate seamlessly.

QA Specialists also play a crucial role in application deployments and collaborate with operations engineers to address production issues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire new skills and familiarize yourself with product features in a supportive team environment.
- Conduct comprehensive systems qualification and validation, prioritizing automated testing.
- Collaborate with developers to independently design and strategize tests that uphold product quality.
- Develop documentation to support testing processes.
- Identify defects and facilitate their resolution through your testing initiatives.
- Proactively address challenges related to the entire protocol stack.
- Create and enhance automated test suites using programming languages such as Python, Go, or similar.
- Work in conjunction with other Cisco teams, including Development and DevOps.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for incident management.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- At least 2 years of experience in automation using Python, Go, or comparable languages.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS technologies, including but not limited to EKS, Spark, and Lambda.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS GovCloud and FedRAMP is essential.
- Familiarity with open-source technologies such as Docker and Kafka is advantageous.
- Background in security software QA, particularly in web or email security, is a significant plus.
- Proficiency with Jira-Xray test management.
- Strong advocate for the Software Development Process, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery methodologies.
- Comfortable with Agile/Scrum practices in software development.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
