Diesel Technician with Expertise in Heavy Duty Vehicle Maintenance

Ryder System, a leading provider of dedicated transportation services, is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join their team in Houston, Texas.
Salary: $1272.40 per week or $31.81 per hour
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and certified diesel technician with expertise in maintaining and repairing heavy duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience in routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work, as well as basic diagnostics and repairs of AC and electrical systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical certification preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Three years or more relevant work experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred

- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
- Works unsupervised on most tasks
