Electrical Systems Design and Development Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex electrical systems for our defense and commercial electronics products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate system requirements into compliant complex printed board assembly designs
  • Perform technical trade studies, evaluate technology insertion/upgrades, and conduct laboratory tests and troubleshooting
  • Integrate and evaluate hardware module performance using simulation tools and prototype hardware in a laboratory environment
  • Create design documentation and verification test procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with product development and support of electronics equipment
  • Solid fundamentals of digital/analog/power/mixed signal electronics and interface/communication standards
  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing and test methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing compact embedded systems for harsh environments
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering design, schematic capture, and analysis tools
  • Eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with printed board assembly (PBA, PCB) design using Cadence tools
  • Familiarity with AS9145 compliant processes
  • Experience with FPGA designs
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems or high power RF software defined radio (SDR) hardware
  • Experience with radar systems
  • Local Power Supply Design
  • Knowledge of memory interfaces such as DDR, QSPI
  • Knowledge of data transfer protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, JESD 204, I2C, JTAG
  • Control account management experience
  • Active DOD security clearance
