Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Burn ICU team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to our hospital's mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and notify providers of any adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations before procedures, including review of medical history and diagnostic tests, and ensure patients understand the procedure and peri-operative process.
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices to enhance patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals, and patient education.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, ensuring clear understanding among patients, physicians, and colleagues, and escalating care concerns as necessary.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or possess compact licensure.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
  • American Heart Association ACLS certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • Current NIHSS certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
