Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery Operations
    • Assist in scheduling and routing delivery routes to ensure efficient coverage
    • Conduct route analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Monitor driver hours of service and ensure compliance with regulations
    • Perform payroll duties and review driver payroll for accuracy
  • Service Operations
    • Assist in scheduling and coordinating service activities
    • Conduct route observations to ensure drivers are performing duties safely and efficiently
    • Assist in maintaining driver qualification files and scheduling truck maintenance
    • Participate in accident investigations and assist with other supply chain centers as needed
  • Leadership and Development
    • Recruit and interview new team members
    • Train, coach, and counsel team members
    • Handle driver concerns and assist with annual performance appraisals
    • Make recommendations for pay increases and participate in leadership development training
  • Reporting and Budgeting
    • Assist with generating reports and contributing to the development of the annual department budget

    • Assist in answering customer complaints and maintaining positive customer relationships
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college hours preferred
  • 2-3 years of documented supervisory experience
  • 2-3 years of route scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varied conditions
