Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Patient Care is a key member of the nursing leadership team, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical surgical unit. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement unit goals and objectives
- Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, including education and training
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for the unit
- Assist with the coordination of patient flow and bed management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
Requirements:
- Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- BSN Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
