Job Summary

Auburn University is seeking a skilled Photographer and Videographer to join our Recreation and Wellness team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality visual content that showcases our programs, services, and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize professional knowledge and artistic judgment to provide the highest quality photography and video for sports, fitness, outdoor recreation, and wellness programs, competitions, and special events.
  • Plan and execute promotional photo and video shoots for Recreation and Wellness programs, services, and events.
  • Maintain a comprehensive photography and video library and efficiently label and archive all images.
  • Operate and maintain all photography and video equipment and accessories.
  • Edit all image and video formats and any other media asset based on placement (web, news, social media, and print publications).
  • Archives/uploads completed video and photography in a timely manner.
  • Perform digital work consisting of scanning, cropping, color correction, and retouching for both photography and video.
  • Maintain comprehensive library and appropriately archives digital files for historical documentation and future use.
  • Mentors and trains student workers in photography, videography, and editing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of photo and video editing software including the Adobe Creative Suite- specifically Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working Knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Illustrator.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in photography, videography, or digital marketing.
