Property Maintenance Technician Opportunity

The CRM Residential team is seeking a skilled Maintenance Equipment Specialist to join our property management team in Atlantic City. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our high-rise HUD building.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, to ensure all systems function properly.
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents by conducting thorough cleaning, painting, and repair work.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and exterior grounds, including trash removal and light cleaning tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems to identify potential issues before they become emergencies.
  • Be available on a biweekly on-call rotation to respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies after regular hours.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their maintenance needs in a timely and respectful manner.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required; however, 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance is essential.
  • Previous experience in commercial or multi-unit residential property is desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills are necessary for this role.
  • Maintaining current licenses/certifications in one or more building trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, fire protection, or mechanical) is highly recommended.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are advantageous but not compulsory if local.
  • Experience in painting and general maintenance is beneficial.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are vital.
  • The typical shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Living within 20 miles (30 minutes) from the property is a requirement.
  • Willingness to be on-call 24/7 is essential.
  • A basic understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and safety regulations is expected.

Working Conditions:

  • This role involves working in an indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures exceeding 90 degrees at times.
  • The ability to lift 55 pounds independently and support team lifts with reasonable accommodations is necessary.
  • Long periods of walking and standing, stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and climbing are involved in this role.
  • Possible contact with blood-borne pathogens and/or bodily fluids may occur.
