VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional healthcare services, is seeking a skilled Physician to join our team at Baraga Correctional Facility in Michigan.
Job Summary:The Staff Physician will work under the supervision of the Site Medical Director, providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in correctional medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions
- Document patient medical records accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in medical staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Provide education and training to staff members as needed
- Must be a licensed Physician in the state of Michigan
- Current DEA registration
- Board certified and qualified by state laws/regulations to practice medicine
