Position Overview:
The primary focus of this role is to enhance the automation of existing manual testing processes. This includes the automation of test cases, the development of tools aimed at improving testing efficiency, and contributing to the definition of new processes that enhance the tracking of our current performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement functional test scenarios based on user stories within Agile Sprints.
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to identify testing requirements and establish automated tests and related tools.
- Examine project specifications to confirm that requirements are suitable for testing.
- Document all test outcomes following the integration of relevant test codes into the Master branch, logging pass/fail results, and debugging failures to identify root causes, ensuring only valid defects are recorded in the defect tracking system.
- Work alongside feature engineers to replicate and resolve defects identified in the system.
- Engage in root cause analysis for hardware quality issues and software defects.
- Contribute to system design, documentation, and testing efforts to deliver a top-tier infotainment system.
- During sprint planning, provide estimates for the time required to complete testing-related tasks.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in QA Testing, particularly with Python or similar scripting languages, along with software development experience.
Experience Needed:
- Familiarity with JIRA and TestRail.
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required.
