The Radiologic Technologist II will be responsible for competently performing routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or helping orient other staff to the department.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from the state where work is being performed).
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations and possess a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Per Diem coverage for South Bay PAMF locations in San Jose and Los Gatos.
  • Variable days of the week and occasional weekend requirements.

Benefits:

  • No benefits.

Pay Range:

$60.81 to $76.00 per hour.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
