Overview

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical-Surgical team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. This is a full-time, 0.9 FTE position with a 72-hour workweek, working night shifts from 7pm to 7am.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) based on established nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver patient education to facilitate optimal patient function, independence, and health.
  • Delegate specific patient care duties to non-licensed team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely and efficient patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current valid North Carolina practical nursing license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
