Activity Therapist

**Job Summary:**
AHMC Healthcare is seeking a skilled Activity Therapist to join our team. As an Activity Therapist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the spiritual, emotional, recreational, and social needs of our patients are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Supports the development and implementation of activities programs to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Treatment Planning: Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and staffing to ensure comprehensive care.
- Activity Coordination: Coordinates activity programs with the healthcare team, including Nursing and other related departments.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Incorporates cultural and ethnic factors into care to ensure patient-centered services.
- Documentation: Documents patient activity participation and maintains accurate records.
- Communication: Maintains effective communication with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
- Feedback and Quality Improvement: Provides feedback to supervisors on an ongoing basis regarding concerns, improvements, and changes.
- Supply Management: Maintains activity therapy supplies and equipment in an orderly and safe manner.
- Professional Development: Attends in-services, seminars, and other educational events to promote learning and professional growth.
- Confidentiality and Infection Control: Ensures confidentiality of all information encountered and utilizes universal precautions to prevent and control infections.
- Customer Service: Establishes customer service initiatives to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction and achieve targeted outcomes.
- Professional Relationships: Maintains a professional and ethical relationship with patients, families, and colleagues in accordance with hospital standards and organizational welfare.
- Team Collaboration: Supports the hospital's goals and objectives in providing a safe and excellent quality of care and customer service.
- Supervision and Leadership: Oversees and communicates with Activity Therapist Assistants to ensure effective team functioning.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field.
- Experience: Two years of experience in a related field preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish/Vietnamese/Chinese) preferred.
- Certifications: Current BLS card and MAB certification required.
- Registration: Current registration or eligibility for registration with a relevant professional organization.
