Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a highly skilled and experienced Piano Instructor to join our team. As a collaborative pianist, you will play a vital role in supporting the musical endeavors of our students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach class piano and keyboard skills to students
  • Coach ensembles and collaborate with faculty and guest artists in recitals
  • Accompany faculty recitals, guest recitals, and student performances
  • Coordinate accompanying activities and maintain an active professional profile

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in piano or collaborative piano
  • Significant professional and academic experience as a collaborative pianist

Preferred Qualifications

  • Evidence of significant performing experience as a collaborative artist
  • Experience coordinating accompanying activities at the collegiate level
  • Experience teaching piano-related courses at the collegiate level
