Your Responsibilities
Conduct assigned system commissioning utilizing Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Diagnose and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues. Address basic warranty inquiries.
How You Will Achieve This
- Upload system-level controller software
- Execute system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all necessary commissioning documentation
- Keep management and JCI contractors or clients updated on job progress and challenges
- Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment
- Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
- Document modifications and provide information for as-built documentation
- Communicate with the JCI contractor or client upon arrival and before departing the work site
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in required safety training. Maintain a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety
Qualifications
- Knowledge of servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC sector
- General knowledge should include HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively represent Johnson Controls to clients and other external contacts in an ethical and professional manner
- Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership abilities to assist Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on-site.
- Proficiency in PC usage and the capability to program HVAC-related software
- Competence in using hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication and listening skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Low voltage/120-volt wiring skills are preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Visio
- Depending on location, the installation and termination of low voltage devices may have specific licensing requirements
